Gigi’s Night is a bi-monthly performance series designed to create opportunities for theatre artists seeking a place to create, play, collaborate, and present work. Each month may explore a different format, including (but not limited to) cabaret, dance, drama, sketch and stand-up comedy. We invite theater artists who are interested in presenting new work to contact us with ideas. Each performance of Gigi’s Night will benefit Rauschenbusch Metro Ministries

This month Gigi's Night is benefiting Hell's Kitchen Farm Project, an urban farm on the roof of Metro Baptist Church. The farm grows fresh produce that is distributed through Rauschenbusch Metro Ministries weekly food pantry. Visit hkfp.org to learn more about volunteering on the farm.

CASTING UPDATE - THE POUND: A MUSICAL FOR THE DOGS

While I was co-producing "Steel Magnolias" for Stomping Ground Theatre Company, I was befriended by the very talented Laura Daniel (who played Truvy). She suggested that I audition for Imagined Theatre's "Pound."  Lo and behold....three songs, one sight-read, and seven sides later, and one diva improv later,  I'm thrilled to announce that I'll be performing the role of Shep - a highly energetic slobber of a dog.

We will be performing this Memorial Day at the Signature Theatre as part of Sound Bite's Annual Festival of Ten Minute Musicals.

THANKS, LAURA, AND IMAGINED THEATRE!

CASTING UPDATE: Mystified - The Strange Disappearance of Goldilocks

This May, I will be a part of a multimedia piece titled "Mystified: The Strange Disappearance of Goldilocks," which is being produced by On The Kusp Productions. The concept is a 48 Hours FairyTale mystery.  Goldilocks has vanished under mysterious circumstances and now a TV show is trying to discover the truth.

I'll be playing the role of Papa Bear!

Pro-Deuce

For the past few months, I've been trying my hand at a new role: co-producer.

I've had the honor of working on two very distinctive projects, U.S.Over and Stomping Ground Theatre Company's production of "Steel Magnolias." Both projects have afforded me the honor of getting more involved in the business side of projects: casting talent, prop acquisition, assembling crews and volunteers, marketing.

It's been an amazing adventure and one that I can definitely see myself growing into more fully in the coming years.

It takes so many people to mount an artistic production, and I'm over the moon that I get to work with some of the best and brightest of these creators every day.

CASTING UPDATE: "This Very Moment"

This fall, I'll be joining former fellow Texas Tech Red Raiders in the original musical revue, "This Very Moment." Music and lyrics by Brett Kristofferson and direction by Rebecca Burton. So very happy to be reuniting with friends (and castmates of shows past), Angela Schulz and Chad Ryan!

Performance dates:
November 11 - 13
Ticket information coming soon!

THIS VERY MOMENT is told from the perspective of everyday folks, mostly of a certain age (ahem), folks who have lived a bit, at least long enough to have made some major decisions about their life path, and long enough to have felt the repercussions, good or bad, those decisions brought them. Incorporating songs that span Brett Kristofferson's 20+ year career, THIS VERY MOMENT explores, mourns, and celebrates the moments that help shape the landscape of our lives; moments that expose our weaknesses, perplex us, and help us define the things that are important to us.

TUFF BOYS: Episode 2

I recently completed shooting a co-star role on the second episode of  the web series "Tuff Boys." Not only was it one of the most professional shoots I've been on for new media projects, but it also reunited me with a fellow Groundlings classmate Isaac Himmelman (a Tuff Boys producer/director/writer/actor). It was like being in improv class all over again. Check out the full episode below.

Casting Update: "The Mixtape Series"

Our first production meeting

Our first production meeting

Happy to report that I've been cast in the web project "The Mixtape Series." I'll be playing a shady boss with something up his sleeve. We are currently in pre-production and looking to launch mid-April.

This comedic webseries is about two roommates who decide to make their claim to fame as rappers. The problem is....they're not rappers.

TEACHING - Summer 2016

This summer, I have the privilege of returning to Cornish School of the Arts to teach an intensive imrpov class to current and prospective students. Details are still being confirmed. I'm very happy to be returning for the Pacific Northwest for the third time. It's a charm, I hear.

CLASSES

Completed a Master Class with Kathleen Turner. Now I have four monologues under my belt and a gut feeling that I will play George someday in "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?"

PRODUCTIONS

Just finished a run of "The Christians" at Playwrights Horizons. It was such an amazing experience and marked my Off Broadway debut. I'm incredibly indebted to the entire staff of PH, and especially Alaine Alldaffer and David Dabbon for believing in me. Here's the New York Times review.
